Associates
Jennifer Caplan, B.S., M.S.
I have a desire to help individuals achieve healthy and fulfilling relationships. I believe sex is an integral part of a couples’ relationship and therefore I provide sexual education and sex therapy to individuals and couples, as well as general relationship counseling. I also enjoy counseling clients struggling with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and addictions.
I am trained in psychotherapy and psychometrics, working towards LPC licensure under Elaine Wilco’s supervision since 2014.
I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology with specializations in psychological assessments and teaching from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. I completed practicum and internship experiences at The Gwinnett County Detention Center, The Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services, a community mental health clinic which offers individual, family and couples therapy, and Good News clinic, a child advocacy center, focusing on children suffering from abuse or trauma. I have extensive research experience on child sexual abuse and completed a thesis on the topic.
I am bilingual offering therapy in both English and Spanish. I come from an Argentina background and have traveled extensively through Latin America. During my travels I spent several months in Guatemala perfecting my Spanish and volunteering in a hospital helping malnourished infants and children.
I have a passion for counseling clients from diverse ages, backgrounds, demographics, and experiences, and provide reduced-fee services.
Areas of specialization: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, addictions, sex therapy
